🎯 Job Purpose

The Key Account Associate in Oncology plays a vital role in ensuring that cancer patients across Morocco have timely access to the treatments they need. Reporting to the Oncology Business Manager, the KAA combines account management and field sales responsibilities, acting as the main point of contact for CHU, regional oncology centers, provincial hospitals, and private clinics.

In this dual role, the KAA:

  • Drives product sales by engaging oncologists, pharmacists, and hospital teams through scientific discussions, detailing, and relationship building.
  • Ensures access and availability of oncology products by managing tenders, purchase orders, and stock levels, and by coordinating closely with supply and procurement teams.
  • Develops and executes account plans for each strategic hospital, anticipating barriers and providing practical solutions to optimize patient care.

By working closely with the Oncology Business Manager and cross-functional teams (Medical, Supply, Market Access), the KAA ensures the company responds effectively to the realities of Moroccan oncology care.

Ultimately, this role supports a clear mission: to make oncology treatments accessible, reliably available, and properly positioned within hospitals, while driving sales growth and fostering long-term, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals.

📌 Accountabilities

1. Ensure Access & Availability of Oncology Products

  • Secure product access through national and regional tenders (Ministère de la Santé, CHU, hôpitaux régionaux, centres d’oncologie).
  • Monitor stock levels in each hospital and coordinate with Supply to anticipate shortages.
  • Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, and invoicing to guarantee continuity of availability.

2. Drive Sales Performance in Assigned Territory

  • Promote the oncology portfolio to oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, and hospital teams.
  • Conduct regular field visits, scientific discussions, and product detailing.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales objectives in line with the national oncology strategy.
  • Identify growth opportunities in public and private segments and convert them into concrete sales actions.

3. Manage Strategic Hospital Accounts

  • Develop and execute account plans for CHU, regional oncology centers, provincial hospitals, and private clinics.
  • Map decision makers and influencers within each institution:
oncologists, pharmacists, heads of department, procurement, administration.
  • Understand each account’s treatment protocols, patient pathways, and prescribing dynamics.
  • Provide hospital teams with product support, training, and updated clinical information.

4. Lead Tender & Contract Activities

  • Track tender calendars and anticipate upcoming opportunities.
  • Support preparation of tender submissions with Regulatory, Market Access, and the Oncology Business Manager.
  • Monitor tender performance and ensure contract compliance (pricing, volumes, timelines).
  • Propose strategies to secure tender awards and long-term continuity.

5. Build and Maintain Long-Term Relationships

  • Establish trust-based relationships with oncologists, pharmacists, and hospital administrators.
  • Become their primary contact for both commercial questions and access/logistical matters.
  • Support scientific meetings, workshops, or educational activities when relevant.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with the Oncology Business Manager to align strategy and priorities.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, and all the stakeholders to ensure smooth customer support.
  • Share real-time field insights, competitive intelligence, and access barriers.

7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track sales performance, account status, tender progress, and stock levels.
  • Provide accurate weekly/monthly reports to the Oncology Business Manager.
  • Raise alerts early and propose corrective actions when needed.

8. Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure all activities respect Moroccan regulations, hospital rules, tender procedures, and company ethics.
  • Maintain accurate, transparent records for audit readiness.
