Work Hours/ Shift/ Remote    

Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift ranging from first, second, or third shift.  Work schedule may be Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday, or some combination thereof based on business needs.

Responsibilities/ Accountabilities    

•    Identify and source appropriate vendors for required materials, equipment, and services.
•    Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
•    Monitor inventory levels of maintenance and engineering supplies to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
•    Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and timely distribution of procured items.
•    Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and evaluate new potential vendors.
•    Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
•    Assist in the preparation of the procurement budget and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
•    Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce procurement expenses.
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery/ service receipts.
•    Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and inventory status.
•    Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
•    Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve any issues related to the quality of the items procured.
•    Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams to understand their material and equipment needs.
•    Work with the packing, manufacturing, and EHS departments to coordinate their procurement requirements.
•    Coordinate with other departments, such as finance and legal, to ensure smooth procurement processes.
•    Perform entire duties as communicated time to time by department management/designee.
•    Participate in safety related programs and or safety teams as needed.
•    Enforce and follow safety regulations and ensure the working area is clean.
•    Adhere to CIPLA’s Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.
•    Must be able to work under general supervision and able to work independently and in a team environment.
•    Must be able to exercise appropriate professional judgment on matters of significance.
•    Other duties assigned as required by Maintenance and Engineering management.

Education Qualifications  

•    Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. 

Experience  

 •    Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.

Skills/ Competencies  

•    Strong negotiation and communication skills.
•    Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•    Familiarity with SAP system for purchase and finance-related activities.
•    Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
•    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
•    Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality standards.
•    Understanding of maintenance, engineering, packing, manufacturing, and EHS operations and requirements.
•    Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in procurement documentation and inventory records.
•    Problem-Solving: Identifies issues and implements effective solutions in procurement processes.
•    Analytical Skills: Analyzes procurement data and market trends to make informed decisions.
•    Team Collaboration: Works well with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
•    Integrity: Adheres to ethical practices and maintains confidentiality in all procurement activities.
