Job Purpose

  1. Cascade corporate affairs agenda at unit locations
  2. Ensure positive engagement with key external stakeholders
  3. Support in obtaining approvals/permissions/ NOCs for the plant location on time
  4. Support in ensuring business continuity at the unit location
  5. Keeping track of political/ government level developments and share timely updates having an impact on the business

Key Accountabilities (1/6)

1.Timely approvals

  • Ensure timely approvals and permissions from Government/ regulatory authorities.
  • Support cross-functional teams to expedite approvals for obtaining various permissions for upcoming new projects or licences from the State authorities such as- EC, CTE/CTO, Fire NOC and other licenses.

Key Accountabilities (2/6)

2.Relationship building with external stakeholders

  • Map key government stakeholders and prepare engagement strategy for advocacy.
  • Build new relationships, support in strengthening existing relationship to support business in areas relating to regulatory/policy matters, interaction with the state government, local administration, and other stakeholders such as CMO, Industries dept, health dept, FDA, CSDCO, Pollution control Board, police administration, etc.
  • Maintain a regular rhythm of engagement (weekly/ monthly) with the relevant stakeholders.

3.Risk management and business continuity across the business units

  • Ensure Business Continuity and Mitigate Risk. Support plant team in all critical incidents/IR issues by way of effective advocacy and negotiation with external stakeholders/authorities.

4.Support to site management, business support and compliance

  • Support the site team/ management, central EHS team
  • Execution of CA stakeholder engagement strategies in coordination with central and site leadership
  • Support in obtaining EC/ CFO/ CTE, key safety compliance such FIRE NOC, Safety trainings.
  • Keeping watch of policy level changes at State Pollution Norms/MOEF and aligning internal stakeholders accordingly to avoid any business threats/damages.
  • Review closure of internal compliances of key approvals for the concerned units on monthly basis.
  • Track state level industry policy, incentives announced by govt. and share the same timely.
  • Effectively coordinate for new upcoming investment project proposals in the state.

5.Engagements with State level Industry Bodies, Events, and tracking of State Notifications and News

  • Ensure engagement with state level industry bodies and events. Track state notifications and news for timely intelligence updates.
  • Represent Cipla by participation in key state level events.

6.Support to Cipla Foundation

  • Provide necessary support to Cipla Foundation team, as per requirement, for execution of activities by effective liaising with external government stakeholders, community leaders etc.
  • Support Cipla Foundation team for undertaking external stakeholder requests in the state.

  • EHS, Manufacturing unit, HR, CSR teams, Admin at the site.

  • Various state Ministries, regulatory and licensing authorities at the State level such as Chief Minister’s Office, PCB, DISH, labour department, Environment department, industries dept. etc.

  • Advocacy for critical projects and engagement with high-level government stakeholders.
  • Guidance on strategy to mitigate key issues at unit.

Education Qualification

Qualified MBA / M.Pharm/B.Pharma/MSC/BSC

Relevant Work Experience

Preferred candidate with 8-12 years of work experience.

 

Threshold skills and capabilities required to execute the role 

  • Experienced in executing the Corporate Affairs mandate of the organisation with good technical skills and knowledge of state level policies and regulations.
  • Skillful communicator with a strong network at the government/political level.
