Job Purpose

Accountable for Operations finance, Accounting controller, Financials for Cipla US, Invagen, CTI.

Key Accountabilities (1/6)

1.Accounts Controlling, Monthly closing & Cash Flow Management

• Financials controlling & financials preparation for Cipla US, Invagen, CTI
• Intercompany reconciliation and payment for Cipla US, Invagen, CTI
• Sharing capitalization data for Cipla US, Invagen, CTI
• Preparation of yearly and quarterly cash flow as per need of Corporate treasury team.  

Key Accountabilities (2/6)

2.Inventory Management

• Preparation of Monthly Inventory report for Cipla US, Invagen, CTI
• Monthly closing of inventory and ensuring valuation is done as per accounting polices (NRV, Stock Expiry etc)
• Monitoring Inventory ageing and highlighting the same to the business
• Working with busines team on short-dated inventory management

Key Accountabilities (3/6)

3.Tax

• Preparation & management of annual / qtrly tax statements
• Monitoring & sharing working and disallowance to tax teams
• Responsible for compliance of IRS return for US group
• Controlling and reporting tax queries

Key Accountabilities (4/6)

4.Transfer pricing

• Preparation true up, true down of TP
• Setting up TP valuation for inventory
• Controlling other segments for TP cross charge

Key Accountabilities (5/6)

5.BDnL

• Supporting finance and business inputs in BDnL transactions
• Preparation of NPV, IRR
• Review of agreement for finance aspects
• Co-ordinating with business for transaction execution

Key Accountabilities (6/6)

Audits

• Managing audit stakeholders internal, IFC, statutory
• Handling audit queries and resolving same
• Ensure due compliance of DoA, hygiene of books of accounts

Major Challenges

• Deal with multiple internal customers like Corporate finance India, Costing team, BU Finance, GSS team, SCM team and Manufacturing team.
• Deal with multiple stakeholder (USA Finance team, UPS team, BYD, Cipla IT, SCM, and Corporate Team) and meeting their requirement as per timeline.
• Working in different time zones and working culture.

Internal

• Cipla IT team (including Vistex & BYD)
• SCM Team for SAP, inventory and cogs.
• Cipla US business team for BDnL related discussion. 
• Manufacturing team for SAP, costing blocks recipe and BOM update.

External

• Sales returns (Broker and insurance company).
• UPS team for Inventory and returns process. 

Dimensions

• Managing financial home office governance of Cipla (Approx yearly value $800mn)
• Inventory related expertise to manage inventory
• Analyzing CMO contracts, preparing business cases and sharing recommendation.
• Preparing costing for new products, CMO products and building SAP for new process.
• Controlling books of accounts, financial statement, tax & TP
• Analysing BDnL transactions for Cipla and US

Education Qualification

Should be a qualified Cost Accountant / Chartered accountant / Certified Public accountant.
