Job Purpose
To manage the accounts payables operations for Cipla India and its subsidiaries, ensuring strong governance, compliance, timely processing, high‑quality reconciliations, and effective month‑end closure. This role will also drive process automation and continuous improvement, while ensuring alignment with statutory requirements, IFC controls, and audit expectations.
Key Accountabilities (1/6)
Vendor Reconciliation & IFC Compliance
- Manage vendor reconciliation for Cipla and its subsidiaries across multiple entities.
- Ensure strict adherence to Internal Financial Controls (IFC) for P2P processes.
- Review and approve reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of disputes, debit notes, credit notes, and open items.
Key Accountabilities (2/6)
MSME Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with MSMED‑I (MSME Form I) reporting requirements.
- Monitor vendor MSME classification and validate accuracy of records.

General Ledger (GL) Reconciliation
- Oversee GL reconciliations for payables, advances, GR/IR, and tax-ledger balances.
- Ensure aging items are reviewed, investigated, and closed within timelines.
- Maintain audit‑ready GL schedules with strong documentation

Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance - 4A
- Ensure adherence to Direct & Indirect Taxation requirements within the payables process.
- Review vendor tax applicability, TDS deductions, GST compliance, and timely accounting of tax‑linked invoices.
- Coordinate with tax teams for assessments, changes in regulation, and process updates.
- Lead monthly GSTR‑2B reconciliation and ensure timely ITC alignment.
- Identify gaps between available ITC vs. booked ITC and drive priority invoice accounting.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve mismatches.

Automation & Process Enhancement
- Identify automation and digitization opportunities across Payables (RPA, BOT, workflows, dashboards).
- Collaborate with IT/Digital teams to drive implementation and adoption.
- Enhance controls, reduce manual touches, and streamline end‑to‑end P2P processes.
Vendor Master Governance
- Oversee vendor master reviews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure proper controls over vendor creation, modification, and blocking.
- Review risk areas related to duplicate vendors, incorrect tax details, and unauthorized changes

Education Qualification
Commerce Graduate or equivalent, CA/ MBA Finance or equivalent – desirable but not mandatory
Relevant Work Experience
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a multi-location mfg. organization or shared service centre in Accounts Payable team.
At least 2 years of experience in leading AP team
