Job Purpose
The Job entails being a trade finance partner for the India Generics business. The objective is -
- To act as a strong support system for depots, stockists & other channel partners to ensure smooth billing and maintain good relationship with key stakeholders.
- To ensure smooth and standardized processes, assisting the business to implement decisions and contribute in overall growth of the division.
- To drive strong policy adherence to ensure operations are running in a compliant way.
Key Accountabilities (1/5)
1.Business Partnering
- Ensuring timely scheme payouts to all channel partners.
- Assist business and field teams to resolve operational issues and queries.
- Incorporating business needs in processes and system to facilitate ease of doing business.
- Ensuring business decisions are implemented smoothly and communicated timely to relevant stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities (2/5)
2.Controllership
- Making sure of all the provisioning to be captured correctly.
- No open Audit query for the business.
- Ensuring risk mitigation on credit and inventory.
- Proper budgetary adherence of channel partners and sales team with regards to different commercials.

3.Simplification
- Drive simplification through automation and prepare SOP to ensure activities are process driven and effective.
- Devising process to ensure simplification and transparency.
- Effective communication of all the process changes to relevant stakeholders through direct or indirect trainings.
- Process standardization and automation to reduce manual effort and the errors that come with it.
Key Accountabilities (4/5)
4.Collections Management & Billing Operations
- Timely collection of overdue outstanding as per collection target, Also responsible for collections from the Government agencies.
- Reconcile major customers accounts on annual basis and if required pass necessary adjustments in coordination with FSS team.
- Ensuring minimum DSO as per the industry standards.
- Working on minimizing the Past Due amount percentage of the total AR.
- Oversees month-end closing and coordinates and assigns duties to the team as needed.

5.Stakeholders Alignment
- Steer business agenda through ensuring stakeholders buy-in across cross functional teams.
- Timely resolution of stockist and depot queries to avoid business disruption.
Major Challenges
Dealing with multiple stakeholders including Cluster and BU heads, marketing teams, field teams, distribution team and IT team
Overcome by: Process standardization in alignment with stakeholders, providing information on SOPs to relevant stakeholders and aligning relevant teams while making any changes

INTERNAL
- India Business Cluster Head: As and when required to provide accurate details to support decision making.
- India Business Cluster Marketing & Sales Teams: Regular discussion on operational aspects, rate changes and team initiatives.
- Field force: Regular interaction with respect to operational issues, rate, system issues, stockist related queries.
- Distribution Team: Interaction with respect to billing, communication of any changes.
- Peer Team Member: Interaction on best processes and way to do business.
- Corporate Team: Interaction related to business controllership and commercials.

EXTERNAL
- Depot & Stockiest & Chemist: Interaction on ongoing basis and during visits and in case of any exceptional queries.

Education Qualification
Qualified Chartered Accountant required.
Relevant Work Experience
