Job Purpose

Business Analyst will be responsible from a commercial lens, the analysis of Cipla Australia’s financial health by tracking performance to budgets, forecasts, and creating financial models to guide strategic decision-making. The insights gathered will be translated to actionable insights to support senior leaders, and require strong analytical and communication skills, including financial storytelling, proficiency in Excel, and business partnering.

 

This role will report to the DTM Business Unit head with matrix reporting to the B2B Business Unit Head. The role will be 30% for B2B ANZ and 70% DTM AUS.

 

DTM Responsibilities:

  1. Wholesaler Claims management: Collation, analysis, reporting and modelling
  2. Sales Channel segmentation (Specialty, Retail, Hospital)
  3. Pricing Segmentation (Sales at Standard vs 1st Tier vs Banner vs Hospital)
  4. Manage the price master file for contracts and in market deals
  5. Collaborative commercial management with finance
  6. Translation of market insights into forecast impacts
  7. Preparation of internal pricing submissions with relevant stakeholders

 

B2B Responsibilities:

LBE Management –

 

DTM: Ensure Primary sales tracking to Budget.

 

 

 

 

 

 

B2B: Ensure order book sufficiency with Regional Business Planners and supply reliability with SCM planners

 

 

DTM:

 

LBE preparation:

  • Collation of primary sales forecasts from wholesalers and direct customers
  • Manage expected provisions from in-market discounts, wholesaler rebates, additional REPTOS fees and other DTM specific expenses as defined the wholesalers agreements
  • Recognise financial impacts as per the PBS price disclosure impacts

 

 

B2B:

Secure supply for International Business by:

  • Prepare health visibility of order book for all countries and coordinate with all the regions to drive focus on order generation wherever required
  • Conducting regular supply checks and controlling critical issues (Red buckets)
  • Ensure LBE accuracy to exceed desired revenue threshold for the International Business
  • Establish in-market sales linkage with inventory and order book for DTM markets in International Business.
  • Ensure right inventory in line with market practices and commercial agreements with distributors

 

Accountability 2

 

Analytics

 

Synthesize insights from sales analysis and to expand and growth the business. This will include both historical sales and market data for competitors.

 

  • Prepare monthly report, sales performance by channel and sector
  • Ensure accuracy and execution of Primary and Secondary pricing  
  • Assist preparation of tenders and business opportunities for the business team
  • Analyse the order book and gap against LBE
  • Support in conducting target assessment(s) /analysis to develop deeper perspective(s) for functional / regional business heads, by reviewing and recommending the progress and advising changes to existing plans/ strategies

Relevant Work Experience

Educational qualifications:

Master in Business Analytics / Data science/ MBA from a Tier 1 B School

 

Relevant knowledge & experience:

 

  • Hands on experience with MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Business acumen, understanding
  • Results oriented, execute with speed and efficiency
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Problem solving
  • Experience with PBS is a plus
