Position Summary

Cipla North America is seeking a highly analytical and strategic leader to serve as the Lead, Strategic Analytics & Corporate Development. This role will act as a key partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing insights that drive strategic decision-making, business growth, and enterprise performance.

The successful candidate will combine corporate strategy, financial analysis, market intelligence, and business performance management to support growth initiatives, investment decisions, corporate development activities, and execution of strategic priorities across the North America business.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with executive leadership and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of a growing healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Decision Support

  • Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Develop executive presentations, business cases, and strategic analyses for leadership and board discussions.
  • Monitor key business priorities, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to drive performance.

Corporate Development & Growth Initiatives

  • Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, licensing opportunities, partnerships, and other strategic investments.
  • Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations.
  • Support due diligence, transaction evaluation, and strategic planning activities.

Enterprise Strategy & Execution

  • Assist in the development and execution of short-, medium-, and long-term business strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate growth opportunities across products, markets, and business segments.
  • Track strategic initiatives and measure performance against established objectives.

Portfolio & Commercial Analytics

  • Analyze product portfolio performance and market opportunities.
  • Support commercial strategy through forecasting, market sizing, and business performance analysis.
  • Provide insights related to pricing, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.

Performance Management & Business Governance

  • Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Support quarterly business reviews and leadership governance processes.
  • Drive consistency in metrics, reporting, and business performance measurement.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Insights

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market developments.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities impacting business performance.

Cross-Functional Strategic Projects

  • Lead strategic initiatives involving Commercial, Finance, Operations, Business Development, and other functions.
  • Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to drive successful project execution and business outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Corporate Development, Business Analytics, Investment Banking, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and strategic recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience supporting M&A, licensing, partnerships, or strategic investment activities.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
