Job Summary: Lead and execute the strategy for balancing supply and demand across the organization for portfolio of products manufactured and supplied by contract manufactures.  Manage and facilitate all facets of supply planning activities among departments and manufacturers sites supporting the market. Support strategic plans to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  1. Supply Chain Planning & Execution
  • Arrange monthly supply plans for commercial In-line products from approved contract manufactures.
  • Share accurate and timely monthly forecast with the contract manufacturers in line with contract terms.
  • Host monthly meetings with the contract manufacturers to review forecast, inventory levels, production status, and raw materials availability.
  • Confirm every deliverable, is delivered on time, in the right quantity, and in a manner cost-effective for the company.
  • Inform the commercial teams about products in short supply/backorder and provide regular updates and get-well dates
  • Follow- up with contract manufacturers site on any market opportunity requiring availability of incremental capacity understanding the manufacturer’s production capacity and constraints.
  • Analyse current and projected product availability to respond to new business opportunities (bids).
  • Provide supply readiness start-up timelines for new business opportunities to the Sales/Marketing teams.
  • Coordinates supply product availability, issues and performance, working with all appropriate functional areas of the company. 
  • Work with commercial, project management, demand planning and other key groups to ensure supply readiness for all commercial and site transfers products.
  • Participate on monthly customer demand review with Demand Planning team and marketing on various products requirements (target inventory levels, intercompany transfers etc.) to ensure maximum service levels while maintaining other parameters.
  • Supports cross-functional team for site transfer products and activities.
  1. Supply Security and Risk Mitigation planning
  • Manage target inventory levels (STN and value)
  • Maintain and control inventory objectives monitoring supply on time.
  • Execute requirements planning to satisfy demand with supply orders, to set correct priorities and to maintain optimum inventory levels.
  • Review target inventory levels parameters, batch/campaign sizes and forecast accuracy-parameters that are either under direct or indirect influence on supply planning.
  1. Support Regional S&OP and related KPIs
  • Measure & report Supply Chain KPIs for selected product portfolio/ supplying region
  • Support/coordinate Monthly Sales and Operations Planning Process for supplying region
  • Conducts reviews with site representation of near-term and mid-term on supply plan due to supply concerns.
  • Collaborate with representatives from business stakeholders including commercial, operations and supply chain to decide on trade-offs when supply is constrained.
  1. Supply Chain Systems & Processes
  • Ensure planning tools and systems integrity is maintained; planning parameters & item master are accurate
  • Generate supply planning reports and prepare executive summary as required.
  • Monitor current processes and determine methods for improvement regarding cutting costs, controlling and replenishing inventory, and shipping products. troubleshoot breakdowns along the chain and respond fluidly to unexpected events
     

 

Required & Preferred Education and Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or a related field is required. 
  • Master's degree in business administration or a relevant field is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain operations, including logistics and distribution.
  • Knowledge of contract terms, lead times, pricing, and penalties, including service levels and quality standards. 
  • Open to travel to local manufacturing sites as required. 
  • Experience working with a global team is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong excel skills beyond VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc. 
  • Relevant technology experience in the Americas region and globally for a multinational pharmaceutical organization.
  • Understanding of the business and the technical, financial, regulatory and quality aspects of pharmaceuticals manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations.  
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, gather and synthesize large amounts of data and information, think objectively, and present facts and recommendations to peers and management. 
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and effectively influence others while respecting cultural and organizational sensitivities. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft platform applications, ERP systems and other analytics tools.
