IT Business Partner
Job Purpose
The role will perform IT business partnering (ITBP) focusing on providing ownership and leadership in technology areas. The ITBP proactively serves as a “trusted advisor,” and is the primary IT point of contact to allocated business line executives and managers. Through this role we ensure continue alignment of IT with business need, improved communication, improved efficiencies and increased agility
To make use and understand technologies, apply research, and practices for the collection, integration, analysis and presentation of information. To ensure the supported business units, with a key focus on sales force, are equipped with optimal tools to stay at the leading front of the pharmaceutical industry and to identify risks and opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Model Development & Maintenance
- Engage with BU team to understand their requirements
- Oversee and develop enhancements to new and existing Business Intelligence (BI) models
- Investigate data quality deficiencies on business units BI models
- Maintenance of input data across multiple platforms
- Manage expectations with stakeholders from the BU teams when new developments are executed, or data quality issues are being resolved
- Continuous review of all current applications and ensure processes are effective & efficient
- Ensure strong partnership with business units assigned to identify opportunities to enhance productivity and improve efficiency
- Tactical/Strategic Analysis and Reporting

- Reports, presentations, and any relevant communication
- Support decision making: preparing of reports/analyses with the purpose of deriving insights
- Produce the Standard supporting reports- e.g. IQVIA TPM, Primary and Secondary Sales, Scripting
- Produce the stand alone reporting (MOR, Governance)
- Develop and maintain Business Intelligence applications, deploy and maintain databases

- Ensure business requirements are accurately captured
- Research IT best practices within the BU
- Source the required data as dictated by the business requirements
- Work with key stakeholders and users of the reporting and analytical platforms to advise on best practices, usages and identify further opportunities
- Collaborate within IT on databases, servers, infrastructure, reporting and analytics platforms to ensure systems are developed, implemented, optimised, supported and maintained to align timelines and completeness.
- Develop technical requirements for application and ensure they aligning to business priorities
- Software development, deployment, and maintenance of applications and solutions
- Evaluating and improving existing system
- Developing solutions that inform decision making
- Ensure solution is optimised for performance
- Contribute to overall model design by providing insights to team on business need
- Drug Safety / Pharmacovigilance

Escalate within 1 business day (24 hours) of becoming aware of any adverse events or serious medical incident to Drug Safety Unit/Pharmacovigilance on all Cipla products

- Support other ITBPs beyond individual role and function, sharing ownership with other ITBPs with the aim of continuous improvement
- Build strategic relationships with partners to stimulate, surface, and shape demand.
- Present and explain complex Digital concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- A thought Leader about applying technology to build competitive advantage by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the business unit through the reliable use of technology tools
- Single Point of contact for all IT requests by co-ordinating and facilitating the request to different IT departments through to completion
- Keep abreast of developments in IT and identify appropriate and cost-effective IT solutions to meet the demands of the group
