🎯 Job Purpose

Develop, manage and analyse all marketing strategies related to new and existing products in specified areas, which includes product pricing, promotional/launch strategy and sales forecasting and also develop relationships with key stakeholders and participate/organize conferences/congress to ensure greater product life cycle and maximum return on investment. Includes assistance with demand forecasting as well as providing product and market insights to New Business/Product Development   

 

The Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies across oncology, haematology, and advanced therapies such as CAR‑T. The role requires a strong clinical foundation combined with marketing expertise to ensure accurate positioning, effective stakeholder engagement, and sustainable commercial growth.

 

📌 Accountabilities

Develop and monitor product marketing, launch strategies to ensure alignment with local legislation and regulatory standards and maximum return on investment for oncology, haematology, and CAR‑T portfolios:

  • Develop overall marketing strategy for new and existing products and analyse and monitor effective implementation of the same.
  • Develop and manage product life cycle by proposing the right promotional and marketing strategies, pricing for the product in alignment with regulatory, medical and quality standards.
  • Manage product promotion and marketing through channel partners – physicians, patients, pharmacies, health care service providers etc.
  • Manage alignment of product marketing and promotional strategies with local legislations and regulatory standards.
  • Analyse and monitor all marketing activities to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Manage and monitor promotional/launch budget to ensure optimal operational utilization in coherence with the product life cycle strategy.
  • Develop and manage strategy for re-launch of existing products through integration with pharmacies and other health providers.

 

Develop and monitor sales forecasting for all products and train sales staff on product knowledge to ensure achievement of sales goals:

  • Prepare sales forecasting and demand planning for new and existing products.
  • Manage and monitor achievement of sales goals for the product and devise strategy in-case of underperformance or over-performance.
  • Manage all queries and issues related to sales forecasting and promotional/marketing strategy and pricing of product for sales work force.
  • Develop content and conduct product knowledge and marketing strategy training for sales workforce, nursing staff etc. to ensure they are equipped with the right knowledge and tools for product marketing & sales.
  • Co-ordinate with supply chain and other internal stake holders to ensure availability of optimum stock levels at all times.

 

Manage, organise and participate in all national and international congress/conventions to develop relationship with key stakeholders and exchange of information on Cipla products & new treatments/disease:

  • Participate in pharmaceutical product trade shows/international congresses and conferences to ensure to gain knowledge on new products, treatments and diseases.
  • Organise, manage and coordinate conferences for Cipla SA which includes – academic sessions, identifying speakers, schedule, stay/travel and all other administrative activities. 

 

Analyse and share data on market intelligence, product performance and product strategy to monitor product performance/sales and ensure effective decision making:

  • Analyse respective therapeutic area marketing performance and share insights with stakeholders to ensure regional needs are appropriated and considered.
  • Identify new market segments for products.
  • Analyse markets and trends and growth value analysis for new products to develop specific strategies.
  • Monitor and analyse competitor marketing, pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Monitor progress of new and existing products (sales update, pricing analysis) to ensure increase in sales and rectify strategies in-case of low response.
  • Create and analyse all product sales, pricing, performance reports and share with the concerned stakeholders for decision making

 

Develop and manage relationship with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with local legislation and best practices for adequate promotion and placement of Cipla products:

  • Develop key relationships with Cipla global to ensure representation at global level and alignment with global objectives & plans.
  • Maintains and develops relationships with key thought leaders (physicians, medical service providers, local government, academic councils, psychiatry councils etc.) in terms of therapeutic areas to ensure best in class category/product management.

 

🧾 Qualification and Relevant Experience

  • Post Graduate degree in marketing and/or advanced degree in Life Sciences, Oncology, Haematology, or related field (BSc/MSc/PhD preferred).
  • 4-5 years of experience in marketing & sales with a few years in pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing, with exposure to oncology and haematology.
  • Analytical skills with creative business insights, ability to multi-task, take independent decisions and good social skills.
  • Strategic thinker who can anticipate market trends in cell and gene therapy
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Demonstrated expertise in CAR‑T therapy, immuno‑oncology, and advanced therapies.
